Now we are looking for a dedicated Restaurant helper to join us in assisting cooks and other staff in various tasks such as cooking, cleaning, ordering, packaging, as well as serving customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Handle kitchen tasks such as slicing, peeling, trimming, and chopping food items using both manual and electric tools.· Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, floors, and storage areas.· Handle trash removal, dishwashing (manual and machine), and cleaning/polishing of kitchenware.· Check, arrange, and maintain supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and other storage areas.· Assist cook in using deep fryer, oven, dispensers and other equipment to prepare semi-finished food items.· Bring clean dishes, flatware and other supplies to the buffet station.· Portion and assemble meals, record and package take-out orders.· Assist in food services such as cleaning tables, removing dishes, replenishing condiments and other supplies.· Assist in other tasks as required by the kitchen or dining area staff.Skills & Qualifications· Completion of secondary school education is preferred.· Previous experience in a kitchen/restaurant is preferred.· Strong work ethic and reliability, willingness to commit to a long-term employment.· Attention to detail and cleanliness.· Friendly and professional attitude when interacting with customers and team members.· Ability to stand, lift, bend, and manually handling kitchen tools and equipment.· Ability to work in a noisy, hot and fast-paced environment.· Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.· Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.For more information, please visit our website https://www.driftwoodrestaurants.com.
