  Job Description

Information System Manager Responsibilities

Oversee the planning and rollout of IT initiatives, ensuring new systems, applications, and services are delivered effectively and on schedule.

Manage the day-to-day functioning of the IT department, ensuring smooth operations and timely resolution of technical issues.

Monitor and assess operational performance, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement in IT processes.

Develop and administer departmental budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.

Lead workforce planning activities, including hiring, on boarding, and assigning duties to technical and support staff.

Review technical documentation and system reports to verify compliance with internal standards, hardware specifications, and software requirements.

Create and enforce IT governance frameworks, ensuring policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently applied across the organization.

 

Requirements:

A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, business administration, commerce or engineering.

Several years of experience in systems analysis, data administration, software engineering, network design or computer programming, including supervisory experience.
