Job Posting: Home Support WorkerPosition: Family Caregiver (NOC 44101)Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4C 6S2Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PMPay: $20 per hour We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker (NOC 44101) to provide personalized care and companionship for an elderly gentleman (born 1944) with age-related health conditions, including hypertension, prostate issues, and mild mobility challenges. Duties and Responsibilities:· Assist with ambulation (walking support) and mobility due to age-related challenges.· Aid in bathing, dressing/undressing, and personal hygiene, including occasional diaper changes during outings.· Administer medications as prescribed for high blood pressure and prostate conditions, under general supervision.· Monitor health status and report changes to the family or healthcare provider.· Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance quality of life.· Ensure a safe home environment to prevent falls or injuries.· Plan and prepare balanced meals, adhering to dietary needs related to hypertension and prostate health.· Assist with feeding if required.· Perform routine tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean living space.· Accompany the client during outdoor activities/medical appointments, ensuring comfort and safety.Qualifications:Personal Support Worker Certificate or relevant education is preferred.A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine concern for the well-being of seniors.Strong communication skills to effectively engage with family members.Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with family.Prior experience in caregiving or a related field is beneficial but not required.
