Long Haul Truck Driver (10 Positions)

Terms of Employment:              Permanent, Full Time

Salary:                                        $31.00 per hour for 50.00 hours per week

Anticipated Start date:             As soon as possible

Location:                                    Winnipeg, Manitoba 

Education:                                 Secondary School certificate 

Experience:                                1 Year

Credentials:   Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brakes Endorsement or Equivalent.

Job Duties:  

Professionalism in customer service. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel outside Manitoba Provinces, Cross Border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid and clean Driver’s Licence.
