Title: Drywall Installer (NOC- 73102)

Job requirements

 

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Setting: Various locations.

 

Responsibilities

Tasks:

·         Clean and prepare surfaces.

·         Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.

·         Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets.

·         Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim.

·         Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.

·         Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.

·         Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets.

·         Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.

 

Additional information

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

Bending, crouching, kneeling, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks

 

Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
